In advance of our series ‘Judgment Days’, we present this quote from a Los Angeles Times article about the brilliant Bob Rafelson film “Five Easy Pieces.’

“… Recalling a conversation from the shoot years ago, (actress Karen) Black says, “Jack (Nicholson) and I were talking about certain people, people I thought put on airs, and I was saying to him that I couldn’t see the person behind the facade. And Jack said to me, ‘Blackie, you look deeply enough, and you will find the human.’

We are so much the same and have so much in common, despite our pretenses and airs. Most times, we just have to dig a little deeper to find it.
